SFB Bash
The SFB “Bash,” a highlight of the Annual Meeting, provides members and attendees with the chance to relax and enjoy some palate-pleasing cuisine while catching up with friends and colleagues.
 

Opening Reception
This is the first networking and poster viewing session of the meeting.  The Opening Reception will immediately follow the keynote address, and will provide attendees and exhibitors with a great networking opportunity.
 

Women's Networking Lunch: Inclusion Practices in STEM - Preventing Sexual Harassment

Kate Clancy, PhD will give a brief talk and lead roundtable exercises designed to help you 1) develop a strong sense of the values you hold as a scientist and engineer, 2) leverage those values into inclusion practices in your lab, and 3) create an environment free from harassment.

Join us for a student-led discussion session of experienced faculty speakers and an awarded student who will discuss their experiences in various application processes, provide insight as to what a winning application entails, and how to make your application stand out. This session will provide you with the tools to craft stronger applications and insight on how to position yourself to be more competitive in an already competitive applicant pool.
